Colorado's Mike MacIntyre reprimanded and fined for chasing after officials

Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre has been reprimanded and fined $10,000 by the Pac-12 for his conduct after the Buffaloes' loss to Oregon State on Saturday. MacIntyre was not happy with the officials after the game was over and attempted to follow them off the field while expressing his displeasure.

After the game, MacIntyre chose not to comment on the officiating or the specific reason he was mad at the officials.

“The public postgame conduct by Colorado head football coach Mike MacIntyre was completely unacceptable,” Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott said in a statement. “Such misconduct violates Conference policy and this behavior will not be tolerated.”

“The Conference assigns a high priority for administrators, coaches and student-athletes to support its officiating program. Chasing and confronting an official or officiating crew after the contest fails to meet these high standards.”

The loss was Colorado's second straight one. Colorado DL Juda Parker said he liked seeing MacIntyre be passionate on behalf of his team, though we'll go out on a limb and say MacIntyre won't chase after the officials again this season.

"Personally, I like seeing that, "Parker said via the Boulder Daily Camera. "I like a coach that will fight for his players, fight for his team. That just shows he has his heart on his sleeve. As football players, this is a tough game. This is a tough man's sports. When we play this game, we wear our heart on our sleeve because we give everything we've got every single down.

"So when we see our coach that can't be out there and play with us, when he's coaching and he's going after the guys and we can see him getting emotional, personally, as a player, I like to see that because he really cares for the team."
