Bret Bielema has more former players playing in the Super Bowl than any other active coach

College football programs often point out the successes of lettermen who are currently playing in the NFL to boost recruiting because a selling point to many recruits is whether or not a college program can help them ascend to the next level.

With the Super Bowl on the horizon, Arkansas used it as an opportunity to point out that Razorbacks coach Bret Bielema has more former players playing in Super Bowl XLVIII than any other active head coach.

All four of the players featured in the graphic – Denver’s Montee Ball and Seattle’s Russell Wilson, O’Brien Schofield and Chris Maragos – all played for Bielema while he was the head coach at Wisconsin. It’s kind of funny to see those guys, all Badgers, with the Arkansas logo next to them promoting the Arkansas football program.

Bielema went 3-9 and 0-8 in the SEC in his first year with the Razorbacks, so the program needs all the positive exposure it can get.
