Betting expert says Florida State expected to be underdogs at Miami

Apparently Florida State could be an underdog before it potentially makes the College Football Playoff.

According to R.J. Bell, a betting expert and radio host, the Seminoles are expected to open as underdogs before its game at Miami on November 15.

While it's crazy to think that the Seminoles would start out as dogs -- we envision a scenario where Florida State gets bet up -- it's also a stark turnabout from last year. When Miami visited Florida State in 2013, the Hurricanes were three-touchdown underdogs. It was the biggest-ever point spread for a matchup of top 10 teams.

And now, with the Seminoles coming off a national title and the Heisman Trophy winner on the team, FSU could be underdogs.

If you're wondering, it's very unlikely that Jameis Winston's code of conduct hearing will affect the game. It's expected to be held the week after the game is played and any decision from the hearing will also likely not be immediate.
