Adam Lane not embarrassed by Birmingham Bowl pants incident

Adam Lane is choosing to look on the positive (clean?) side when it comes to his Birmingham Bowl breakout.

The Florida running back ran for 109 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries in Florida's win over East Carolina. However, he became more known for having an accident sometime around the time he scored his touchdown in the second quarter.

Lane was immediately wrapped in a towel and got a fresh pair of pants after he scored. He said Tuesday he didn't get a lot of grief about the incident.

"It was the best thing that could have happened," Lane said via InsidetheGators.com. "It got a lot of attention and just put me in a place where I was out there publicly and people knew who I was. I really didn't get a lot of grief from it. A lot of people were really more focused on how well I did in the game than anything. I feel like it was that way because I embraced it. That's actually the first time something like that has ever happened. ... I embraced it. Even running off the field after it happened, I waved at the crowd after I ran off to go change. And I waved when I came back."

We appreciate Lane's attitude. And hope for his sake that it doesn't happen again. With Matt Jones' departure to the NFL, Lane has a chance to be one of Florida's primary ballcarriers in 2015 along with Kelvin Taylor.
