Video: Evan Turner hits 37-foot buzzer beater in Ohio State win

If Ohio State's Evan Turner wasn't your choice for national player of the year before Friday's Big Ten quarterfinal, he will be now. The Buckeyes star drained a 37-foot buzzer beater on Friday afternoon to give OSU a thrilling 69-68 win over arch-rival Michigan.

The Wolverines had taken a two-point lead on a Manny Harris jump shot with 2.2 seconds remaining. After an Ohio State timeout, Turner, who had struggled with his shot in the second half, took the inbounds pass, dribbled upcourt and launched an uncontested shot from two steps beyond the half-court line. The Big Ten Player of the Year kept his right arm raised after the shot in anticipation of it going in. When it did, Turner coolly turned around and waited for his teammates to mob him.

March Madness technically begins next Thursday. Between last night's buzzer beater bank shot by DaSean Butler and Turner's miracle today, the madness has already unofficially begun.
