Miles had Mason stand a few feet away from the basket with body facing the rim. Then Miles took a running start from mid-court and vaulted himself over his brother for an emphatic one-handed tomahawk jam, surely good enough to win the camp dunk contest based on the reaction of the campers.
The athleticism of both Plumlee brothers is a big reason Duke fans are hopeful their frontcourt will provide a solid complement to a star-studded backcourt that should be one of the nation's best.
Although the Blue Devils will miss the steady defense and rebounding seniors Lance Thomas and Brian Zoubek provided, both Plumlees have certain skills neither of their predecessors possessed. They can block shots, attack from the perimeter and score in transition or off alley-oops, all assets for a Duke team that intends to play at a faster pace now that Kyrie Irving will be replacing Jon Scheyer at point guard.
Mason has always been considered the sibling with the greatest NBA potential because of his length, shot-blocking and face-up game. Based on the above video, maybe Miles can turn some heads next season with the opportunity for increased playing time.
