Tom Brady tells team, 'vacation's over'

Tom Brady and the Patriots probably won't break any receiving records this season, but they should be an improved group from last year's disappointing showing. The guys on Patriots Talk TV discuss if the Patriots receivers as currently constructed are enough.

"I think right now," Tom E. Curran said. "I think Brandon LaFell, signed as a free agent from the Carolina Panthers is going to be an interesting weapon for this team because he is versatile, he's huge, I mean he is much taller than most of the other guys. He could step in and pretty quickly make Aaron Dobson a little bit irrelevant."

Mike Giardi goes back to what Tom Brady said last week about having to get on the field and get acclimated.

You can't get left behind in training camp, and Aaron Dobson could be in danger of that.

Phil Perry thinks the Pats are deeper than they get credit for.

"I think when you look at this receiving corps, obviously they don't have the No. 1 guy coming in," Perry said, "there's no Megatron coming in, there's nobody they're going to get at this point that's going to serve that role. But they can be pretty deep when they're all healthy. You look at Dobson, LaFell, [Kenbrell] Thompkins, [Josh] Boyce, [Julian] Edelman, [Danny] Amendola obviously, these are all guys now that have at least one year with Brady under their belts. I think the chemistry is going to be that much better, you have a bunch of guys that you can move around in different roles there too. I think they're going to be fine."
