RG3 reportedly will start Week 1

It appears that we are skipping the formalities and going straight to what has been obvious.

Adam Schefter of ESPN tweeted the following this morning at 8:49am: "What Washington wanted: Redskins QB Robert Griffin III will start their Monday night opener against the Eagles."

Griffin is supposed to undergo a final examination by Dr. James Andrews tomorrow to get final approval but recent reports have indicated that Griffin is expected to be ready to go. The next time Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan is scheduled to address the media is following tomorrow's preseason game against the Bucs.
