Mad Dash: Lions fan with Super Bowl tattoo reacts to loss

In general, bold fan predictions about their favorite team's upcoming season tend to go poorly. The Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan that got a national champion tattoo at the beginning of last season came up one game short of vindication, and even that was nothing short of remarkable. Well, this year it was a Lions fan, getting ink commemorating the Lions' 2015 Super Bowl win. Then the Lions lost in controversial fashion in Dallas over the weekend. So what's Dave Morian going to do with that tattoo now? The NBC affiliate in Detroit checked in with him, and got the answer.

The all-star voting process in the NBA is pretty wide open these days, to the point that a simple hash tag counts as a legitimate vote. So Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper used his seasoned stumping abilities to get the word out on Twitter to vote for Toronto star Kyle Lowry, who missed a nod last year when he deserved it and deserves it even more this year. Thousands jumped on the tweet with great enthusiasm, so we'll see if it helps the Raptors' leading man.

Social media can also work against you, even if you didn't put the tweet up yourself. The Rockets posted a picture to their Twitter account of big man Donatas Montiejunas doing squats. The problem came when fans realized he was only putting up 135 pounds, despite being seven feet tall. Montiejunas was forced to quickly defend himself, assuring everyone it was just a warm-up. No judgment here as long as he keeps putting up 10 points and 5 rebounds per game.
