DPS: Rashad Johnson recounts the events that led to his lost fingertip

The NFL is full of tough guys, but even in a world comprised entirely of macho athletes, there are certain acts of toughness that stand out.

One of them occurred on Sunday, when Cardinals' safety Rashad Johnson continued playing despite having part of his left middle finger severed off during a routine tackle. After trying to bring down the Saints' Darren Sproles on a punt return, Johnson returned to the sideline to find his glove full of blood and a portion of his finger missing. The fifth-year veteran finished the game before having the injury surgically repaired after the final whistle.

Johnson called in to The Dan Patrick Show to discuss the gruesome event and the current whereabouts of the rest of his left hand.
