Tonight we hear from Mir if he's still on for UFC 98

Cage Writer hunted down UFC interim heavyweight champ Frank Mir in Columbus today. He was told by UFC to not reveal any details or plans about UFC 98. The Mir-Brock Lesnar fight appeared to be in jeopardy with Mir just getting his knee surgically repaired on Monday. The UFC told Yahoo's Kevin Iole that the fight is still a go for May 23. Mir said he'll elaborate on injury specifics and the scheduled fight, tonight during the UFC 98 pay-per-view broadcast.

Mir seemed a little irked by the gag order. When asked about fighting in 10 weeks at UFC 98, he sounded a bit frustrated:

"It would probably be better if I sit down but things don't always work out that way."

Sounds like the decision has already been made for Mir.

Watch Mir talk about his injury and the scheduled UFC 98 matchup:

Mir went on to talk about his confidence being sky high for his next trip into the Octagon against Lesnar.
