Mark your calendars and update your passport for UFC 98, 99

The UFC confirmed two long-rumored events today. First, UFC 98: Lesnar vs. Mir II on May 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and UFC 99: The Comeback, which will feature Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva in Cologne, Germany on June 13.

Mir vs. Lesnar II is the conclusion of the long, drawn-out tournament which will unify the heavyweight belt. It will also be a rematch of Lesnar's first fight in the UFC, a submission loss to Mir. Matt Hughes and Matt Serra will also fight in a bout that had title implications a year ago, but after injuries to Serra, is more just a grudge match between two men who don't like each other very much.

Comeback is an apt title for Franklin vs. Silva, as they are both coming off losses. As Silva tries to cut down to middleweight, the bout will be fought at a catchweight, 195 lbs. This will be the UFC's first event in Germany. Again, title implications won't factor into this fight, but it is an intriguing match-up.
