Fred Couples is absolutely destroying the Champions Tour

All right, this ain't even fair.

Fred Couples shot a 10-under-par round on Sunday to win the Cup Cana Championship on the Champions Tour. His final round 62 broke the course record at the Punta Espada Golf Club in the Dominican Republic — a record which had stood for a full 24 hours — by two strokes. Corey Pavin, who'd held the old course record, finished second after dinging a shot on the 14th green off a sprinkler head.

On Sunday, Couples dropped five birdies in a row from the second through sixth holes en route to pegging 11 birdies and one bogey overall. It's part of a recordbreaking run for Couples, who has now won three times in four starts on the Champions Tour. That fourth start? He got second. Slacker. Couples is the first Champions Tour player in history to win three of his first four tournaments, and the eighth to win three consecutive starts. Chi Chi Rodriguez set the record with four straight back in 1987.

Somebody check his birth certificate, pronto!
