Red-Light District: Andrei Kostitsyn, must-have Hab

I don't know why Andrei Kostitsyn(notes) has been so maddeningly inconsistent for the balance of his career but it's time to grab this guy for your fantasy team. Immediately. Right now.

The Habs had high hopes when they tabbed Kostitsyn with the tenth overall pick in 2003 but it's been a slow process. Montreal thought he was finally over the hump with a snappy season in 2007-08 (26-27-53, plus-15) but he regressed last season (23-18-41, minus-7).

The winger wasn't off to much of a start this year, either, but he's turned it around of late, collecting 13 points over his last 11 starts. I watched most of Saturday's effort against Atlanta and Kostitsyn jumped off the screen (and not just when he was scoring his two goals). That fine play carried over into Monday's match, when No. 46 collected two power-play goals and an assist.

There's a pedigree here, there's a lot of recent production, and there's still time to get in on it (his ownership level is just 16 percent). Who's with me? Point, click, add.
