    Bonmati shines as Barcelona ousts Chelsea in Women’s Champions League semis

    Aitana Bonmati scored and won the penalty for the second goal to help Barcelona beat 10-woman Chelsea 2-0 in the semifinal second leg of the Women’s Champions League and 2-1 on aggregate on Saturday. Barcelona became the first team since Frankfurt and Potsdam in 2005 to advance after losing the semifinal first leg at home. Chelsea won 1-0 in Spain a week ago.

    Everton ensures 71st straight year in England's top flight by defeating Brentford to beat the drop

    Everton capped a season-defining week with a third straight home victory to secure its English Premier League status on Saturday. Holding midfielder Idrissa Gueye scored in a 1-0 win over Brentford to ensure Everton's final season at Goodison Park will be in the top flight, where the team has played since 1954. Last weekend, Gueye's first goal at Goodison since February 2017 paved the way for a crucial win over Nottingham Forest.
