Standing in the end zone during a New York Giants game may soon qualify as a workplace hazard.
Frustrated after letting a possible end zone interception slip through his hands, Giants cornerback Corey Webster(notes) carelessly swung his right arm at the padding around the base of the goal post. What he couldn't see was the security guard standing behind the post.
During a Week 2 game, Giants' defender Michael Boley(notes) accidentally threw a ball directly at the head of a team intern standing behind the end zone. He apologized the next day.
Webster didn't wait that long. He immediately gave the universal "my bad" sign and then shook the guard's hand.
