This is what Jared Allen has chosen to do with his head

On a tip from SI's Jimmy Traina on the Twitter machine, I did indeed turn on the NFL Network and catch a screen grab of Jared Allen's(notes) haircut.

He looks like Kenny Powers, if he huffed some glue and went to SuperCuts.

If you're a barber, and someone asks you to do that, shouldn't you just refuse? It's like being a doctor, and a patient comes in and says, "Hey, I'd like you to remove my elbows. No, I have no reason. Just want to see what it would be like." The doctor has an obligation to say no, right? Jared Allen's barber failed him.

    I just love the fact that he has a widows peak and he still rocks the mullet. But it is comic relief, so I think he should keep the do as is.

    No, you failed in your reporting...the mullet is one thing, but there's meaning behind the "stripes". With each sack, he puts another stripe in his hair. Jared Allen is a beast, a great personality and an awesome teammate.

    The only improvement I can see would be to go with the scallop sides, the mullet back as shown but with the bald samurai look working back to the mullet. Priceless.

    The part about the mullet that I love the most is that his beard is so well trimmed and normal-looking. Then he has all that craziness going on just above it.

    Jared Allen signed about a $74 million contract deal with Minnesota, and proved last year why he is one of the best DEs in the league... Believe me, KC really misses him... I have a suspicion he does not care what people think about how his haircut looks...
