In lieu of a truly blockbuster matchup, today is about getting some initial answers to oh-so-many tantalizing questions lingering for the last eight months: How fares the latest "Return to Glory" campaign at Notre Dame? Is Michigan still possessed by the soul of Indiana? Will North Carolina turn to a water boy in the vain hope of finding the next Bobby Boucher in time to save the Tar Heels' rapidly disappearing defense? And will America begin quietly stalking James and Jacquizz Rodgers after Oregon State's primetime showcase against TCU, or merely build a shrine to the Beavers' diminutive dynamos in its bedroom closet? There's only one way to find out.
What: Game day live blog. All comments welcome and all colors accepted.
When: First games kick at noon Eastern; chat kicks roughly simultaneously. The blog will run throughout the day, through the marquee tilts between Oregon State and TCU (ESPN, 7:45 pm ET) and LSU and whatever's left of North Carolina (ABC, 8 pm ET). As intriguing as burning the midnight oil in Las Vegas may be, don't hold your breath for Wisconsin at UNLV (11 pm ET, Versus).
Who: You and all your rowdy friends. Come loud, proud and keeping your head on a swivel. Dr. Saturday is not responsible for injuries in hostile territory.
How: Hit "Watch Now," enter comments into the available box and do your part to accelerate the slow, agonizing death of conventional journalism.
Why: Because today is the first full day in eight months to remind you that lobbing snarky barbs at earnest adolescents never, ever gets old. Football!
