Ball Don't Lie - NBA

Via TrueHoop, comes this humbling clip of Nets point guard Devin Harris playing a quick game of one-on-one against some random English chap in jeans and a v-neck sweater. The outcome is surprising, to say the least.

OK, so "random English chap in jeans and a v-neck sweater" might be stretching it. According to the ether, the guy's name is actually Stuart Tanner — a sort of English, Skip To My Lou-like playground legend. For the full story check out of Basketball 24/7.

I don't care if you are just having fun, you never, ever, ever let somebody go through your legs and score.

Devin Harris is a good sport. Devin will have millions of dollars to spend in his lifetime and Tanner will have this memory to tell his grandchildren about. Lighten up BoomBayay.

lol. Let'sbe fair though. Those NBA player can't really play too hard because they don't want to be considered as taking the game too serious. However, that was sick... lol

Devin Harris = NBA player, starting PG in a structured game, nothing to prove
Tanner = nobody, legend in an unstructured game, everything to prove

I used to dribble betwen dudes legs all the time. It's a crossover move no one ever expects and if you have good floor spacing or are in iso and know how to pick up the dribble once you go by its a killer move. It's also a pretty good move for slower players who can't use their natural quickness to get around a guy any other way. Most people are pretty lazy on defense.
The downside of this is that it's a move that makes people think you're trying to show them up and embarass them...like my ex-boss and his friends. Ooops.

Yeah lol. This was for fun outside of NBA. IN THE NBA, it is really different. They are more high flyin' speed, power, and mental awareness. Devin was just ballin' and chillin' around with people for good fun. He is a good sportsman.
