Ron Artest and Natalin Avci's sexy photo shoot

For reasons unknown, new Lakers forward Ron Artest (notes) decided to set up his own photo shoot — with actress/model/vigilante Natalin Avci — while being interviewed by SI.com's Arash Markazi.

According to Jimmy Traina, the photos weren't scheduled to run anywhere, but, well, here they are.

Ron Artest is a gentleman and a scholar and semi-NSFW. Click with caution, friends.

Here we go with the Artest antics... Hope he doesn't become a distraction to the team. I know he's fun to watch on & off the court but the Lakers are trying to repeat as champions.

Skeets, PLEASE, stop posting about naked women, Khloe Kardashian, Jordan's new girlfriend, Nathalin Avci etc. You're going too far now. We're here to read about basketball, not about hot women. One more reason how my life pales in comparison to that of an NBA player. To the people that are asking wtf is Ron thinking. I believe it went something like this; "I can have a supermodel draped over me" "therefore I am going to do so". Who here wouldn't have done this?

I hope that Artest gets his head together. I think the Hollywood showtime atmosphere may be too much for him to handle as he seems to be somewhat mature. I can't help but feel that he wants to be the team's hero over Kobe and I smell a rif coming between them. Kobe appears to be quick tempered and Ron's activities are probably already annoying him. Looks like another babysitting season for Phil.
