Remember the young man who wants UFC octagon girl Arianny Celeste to go to prom with him? He will stop at nothing to convince her, and that includes drafting former WEC champion Miguel Torres to help him out. Not only does Torres make the pitch, he gives Conner Cordova a mullet to make him more attractive.*

Celeste said via Twitter that she is still not sure, but I can't help but cheer for Cordova. Give him a chance, Arianny.

*I don't think a mullet makes someone more attractive, but Torres has a beautiful wife, so it must work for him.

Arianny can't go to a prom with you since she never finished high school as evidenced each time she talks.

At least he's got balls, there are a million other guys who will talk crap about this kid to make themselves feel better but never have the balls to step up like that.

    @ Maggie
At what point does one go from the "he has valor" theory to the "he is a freaky dude" theory? (And what would justify the “valor” theory in this case?) I suggest that the “freaky dude’ theory is more plausible because the kid does not know Arianny. He is attracted to her sheer pulchritude. What straight guy would not have his attention piqued, at least slightly, by close-up shots of a beauty in skimpy clothing while watching UFC PPV events? But to form a psychological attachment based upon such a viewing, that is, based upon nothing but a sheer visceral reaction, is indicative of an unhealthy obsession. What would be the difference between this case and one in which a juvenile (or adult—it does not matter) ardently strives after a runway model or celebrity? In both cases the attraction and attachment is grounded in nothing substantive. Think about it this way: If someone who did not know you at all (not even remotely) were to relentlessly seek after you (romantically), would you be flattered or distressed? (I am assuming that this question is posed to someone who does not have too difficult a time attracting companionship (of some sort) and, thus, is not floored by ANY form of attention.)

    Excellent post Sandman. Excellent.
What you seem to forget is that this "kid" is still in high school (I guess that's why he gets a pass for all this, not to mention his 15 minutes are well used up).
So it becomes all "cutesy" and "lovable" with his attempts to lure Arianny to the dance (thank God for the internet so the whole world can see his "crazy" antics and attempts).
If only he was only a year older and removed from high school, then would it be a creepy situation of cyber stalking, infatuation, and a plea for a desperate for attention.
And now the fact that a MMA fighter is now involved in his plea is also kind of weird. Does Torres truly have nothing better to do with his time then help this "stalker", er uh, high school "kid" try to get a date for the dance?
And seriously, is this "kid" that big of a loser that no girl from his school, or town, will go to the dance with him?
Or is this simply his 15 minutes of "fame(?) being used for this?
And again, why do we keep getting updates on it?
Isn't there a huge MMA card in Chicago this coming weekend?
I guess if I wasn't married I could beg and plead with Maggie to be my date to the big show, couldn't I? Wouldn't it be the same thing?
I mean it is right outside Chicago. Maggie is from Chicago. I live 100 miles west of Chicago. I could leave notes in these blog response areas to ask, and ask, and ask until she said yes. I could post videos on YouTube for the whole world to watch as I made my case as to why she should go with me.
If she said no I could find AA or Torres (both Chicago boys) to help convince her to go with me and watch Strikeforce's card. Or better yet, I could get Mayhem Miller (he'll be in Chicago on Saturday too) to try and help. He loves to do that kind of stuff for MTV, why not me?
But alas, I cannot. For I have graduated from high school, and college for that matter, so it wouldn't be amusing or cute, just sad.
    Just like this young man.

I just ran a search engine on this "kid", he is some wanna be MMA reporter and has some website set up that he describes as Jackass meets the Daily Show.
Obviously his credentials are there as he has interviews with all sorts of fighters and MMA personalities.
I think it's time to consider this "kid" nothing more then a stalker with a crush and not someone with valor.

Honestly the dude is a freak..And someone needs to put the Kobosh on this weird crush before it escalates...I suggest some sort of legal action maybe a restraining order, Or cease and desist...something that brings attention from the authorites they may have a real freak on thier hands......

Oh for the love of God get off his sack! 2 people just sat there and took time out of their day to post a psychological evaluation about why a high school student would ask a girl he thinks is pretty to the prom. Yeah it's a little extreme, but take it and have FUN with it like Torres, instead of making it a study on freak shows. Neither of you are therapist.

LOL at everyone who is overreacting. Like you said, he is trying to become a reporter - this would, I mean, has - gotten him some publicity. The dude is pretty smart if you ask me. Plus...it is pretty funny.

First off Arianny is way too skinny. Not saying she's not cute. If anyone went to an event, you'd see how skinny these women are. Unless people like to rub pelvic bone during sex. I'll take me a nice thick women over them skinny little boys with fake tits anyday.
