This jumping out of a pool thing has become pretty trendy. UFC lightweight champ B.J. Penn is the latest to pull it off on camera. Jarron Gilbert started it on YouTube. Gilbert, a third-round pick of the Bears in the 2009 NFL draft, is also seen in videos squatting and dead lifting 600-plus pounds.
As for Penn, if there's no editing trickery, the pool jump is impressive for a guy who is only 5-foot-9. But you have to assume most MMA fighters below heavyweight could do this, no? I wonder how many 155-185 pounders in MMA have this kind of leg strength and could actually dunk a basketball?

What I find IMPRESSIVE and idicative of pure, raw core strength is what GSP does after fighting 3 rounds(and has he accomplished it AFTER a 5 roudner?????). A standing backflip. That beats the pants off this swimming pool stunt. I guarantee that it takes MUCH more strength to to what GSP does.
If BJ can do a 3 footer in a pool.....I would put money on GSP doing it in 3.5 or even more

yea GSP is a freak but those back flips he does he never lands them, well not on his feet so I think any ufc fighter can do a back flop

as for the squat an deadlifiting.. i got 500 in both in my senior year at hs then in college go over 700 in both.. over 789 in both when i got on thw cyborg diet. it usually added 20% to my lifts when on the juice.. so a bench of 300 goes to 360.. why is it that mlb players are hitting half the hoeme runs they used to?? if you put 20% on a fly ball it is now a home run.. unfortunately for us, no matter the juice, corkfield continues to pump oujt ufc feel good pieces... jesus steve.. blurrin and obliterating the line between journalist and pr guy.. i hope dana hired a full time caddy, thus leaving you more time to mine idiot articles like this.. where is mags ??/ wrestling other fem chicks as she is the boss. jokers..

I can't believe he would still go back to trash talking after GSP whooped that ass....but B.J. is B.J. and can't keep his mouth shut.
I don't think Kenflo can do it, but hope he does.

I think he took a lesson from GSP and greased himself before getting into the pool!
Cofield loves this video because at the end he dreams of being in that sausage packed hot tub!
