Fister gave up two runs on five hits and two walks in 6.2 innings, striking out three as Detroit lost at Cleveland on Wednesday.
Recommendation: Fister (0-2) didn't figure in the decision as he again was provided little run support. In his five starts, the Tigers have scored a grand total of nine runs, even as he sports a 1.84 ERA and 1.125 WHIP this season. After racking up 111 pitches Wednesday, Fister appears poised to put up a quality start every time out.

RHP Doug Fister made one glaring mistake -- a high 2-1 repeat changeup to DH Travis Hafner that turned into a two-run home run in the sixth inning and left him winless in his five starts this season. Fister gave up just five hits but Detroit is emulating the Seattle teams he pitched for in the past by not scoring any runs for him. The Tigers have scored seven runs in his four starts since coming off the disabled list to match the seven he has given up.
