Player Notes
David Freese (quadriceps) went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in his return to action Sunday.

Advice: Freese missed a couple of games with a minor quadriceps injury. The former World Series hero is batting just .143 with a .393 OPS on the season and could be in danger of losing his starting third base job to Ian Stewart.

David Freese (quadriceps) remains out of the Angels starting lineup for Saturday afternoon's tilt against the Tigers.

Advice: Freese sustained the injury during his final at-bat of Wednesday's game, and while he's available to pinch-hit, he doesn't feel well enough to play in the field just yet. Ian Stewart will once again get the call at third base in his absence.

David Freese (hamstring) said Friday that he suffered his injury during his final at-bat of Wednesday's game.

Advice: While he was available to pinch-hit on Friday, he's still unsure if he'll be able to return to the Angels lineup on Saturday. Ian Stewart had a big night in his place on Friday, and would likely draw the start on Saturday if Freese is unable to go.

David Freese was a late scratch from Friday's lineup due to tightness in his right quad.

Advice: Freese dealt with the same injury late in spring training. The good news is that the Angels say it's not serious and he could be available to pinch-hit. Ian Stewart took Freese's spot at third base Friday.
