LHP Brian Fuentes led the majors with 48 saves. He is just the second left-hander in baseball history to have 30-save seasons in both the American League and National League (Randy Myers), and also set the record for most saves by a pitcher in his first season with a team (topping Joe Borowski's 45 with the 2007 Indians).
