Advice: Hamilton is considered day-to-day with a groin strain. He underwent a precautionary MRI on Saturday that appears to have confirmed there was no serious ailment, and the slugger should be able to rejoin the Rangers lineup in a couple of days.

Advice: It's being called a groin strain, but Rangers manager Jeff Banister admitted that Hamilton's "whole lower half" has been an issue since he went on the disabled list with a strained hamstring at the end of May. The results of an MRI Saturday haven't been revealed yet, but it appears Hamilton could be shut down again. "Obviously, well see where he is throughout the night," Banister said Saturday. "Well continue to try to manage how he feels. This is a guy wed like to have for an extended period of time. Im trying my best to figure this whole thing out with him and what is best for Josh."

Advice: He'll sit out against southpaw Hector Santiago. Ryan Rua will get the start in left field and bat second. Hamilton went 1-for-3 Friday in his first game against the Angels since getting traded earlier this year.

Advice: The Rangers are saying he's healthy, so it appears this is just Hamilton being eased back into things. The club is going with Ryan Rua in left field and Leonys Martin in center Wednesday.

Advice: Hamilton went 4-for-12 (.333) with a double and three RBI over four rehab games between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. His hamstring isn't back to 100 percent quite yet, but he's going to try to manage it. The Rangers have talked about using Hamilton in center field, but he's playing left field in his return Tuesday.Tue, Jun 30 Rotoworld
Advice: Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News notes that the club is "desperate for offense from center field" with Leonys Martin in a 3-for-43 slump. It's unclear whether the Rangers are considering using him regularly or just part-time at the position. Hamilton hasn't played center regularly since 2012 but said that he's "absolutely" ready for the position after playing the last two games of his rehab assignment there. If he does settle into center field full-time, it would obviously be bad news for Martin. It could, however, be good news for Joey Gallo, who might be used as the regular left fielder in that case.

Advice: Hamilton will be reevaluated Tuesday. He's looked good during his rehab with Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock and should be back in the majors later this week. In the mean time, the Rangers will have to decide what to do with power-hitting rookie Joey Gallo.

Advice: A strained hamstring sidelined Hamilton for close to a month. He went 4-for-12 with three RBI in four rehab games for Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. With Hamilton back in the lineup, the Rangers may have to get creative in the way they use Joey Gallo. He's been filling in at left field the past few weeks.

Advice: Hamilton will now move his rehab to Triple-A Round Rock and should return to the Rangers' active roster early next week. He's been on the disabled list since June 4 because of a left hamstring strain. The was batting .273/.385/.636 with two home runs and five RBI in seven games for TExas before suffering the injury.
