Devil Ball Golf - Golf

Tiger Woods has played 1,044 holes of golf this season and has earned $9.7 million, or approximately $9,300 per hole.

Jason Hargett laughs at that figure. Laughs, I say!

On Tuesday, Hargett participated in one of those "hole-in-one for big bucks" contests as part of the Mark Eaton Celebrity Classic in Utah. Hargett hadn't planned on playing because of a sore wrist. But since even a bad day golfing is better than a good day doing anything else, he manned up, borrowed his brother's clubs, and ventured onto the course at the Red Ledges Golf Club. And then this happened:

That hole was a 150-yarder, and Hargett used a nine-iron for a $1 million stroke. Only question now is, how much of a cut does his brother get? Those were his clubs, after all. Bet that won't make for some awkward Thanksgiving dinners at all.

Finally! Photographic proof! No fudging this one.........no free publicity here. The real thing.
Looking at this tape you can see how lucky it was to go in the hole. Also, notice the divot the guy took when he took his shot. It wasnt small.
I wonder how much they charged for shot?
Usually you paid in installments over 20 years but the end of the film shows the guy with a check for the whole thing.
NOW I'm jealous. I had one in a hole in one tournament 20 years ago and I was supposed to win a TV. Instead they gave me $100. Wish I had invested that in Microsoft back then........

Virtually nothing is ''''photographic'''' proof, if you mean cgi. The author of this article says 150ft. sorry it is 150yd and I would fire you on the spot.

The USA Today story is more accurate. Yards, not feet. It was a contest - the guy didn't actually play in the classic.

Congrats to this guy!! I've played in tournaments that give out a porsche for a hole in one- but $1 million is way better! I saw on espn that it is enstallments over a number of years.

Great....but technically a bummer. Not a hole-in-one because they didn't pull the flagstick before taking the ball out of the hole......

    A million $ for a nine-iron shot? That's great, but sorry, that's an easy 3-par as 3-par's go.

150 feet? that looks farther than 150 feet to me....dumb Yahoo journalists and their lack of English skills....I made probably a half dozen 150 foot putts in high school.......

I had a hole in one once, but didn't win anything. My friend and I were the only 2 people stupid enough to be playing that day. It was 25 degrees, breezy, and the ground was frozen like a brick. My shot landed a good 20 yards short of the green but bounced because of the frozen ground. It bounced some more and rolled onto the green and then dropped. I didn;t see it either, I was just happy that it looked like I made it to the green despite wearing a big goose down winter coat. My friend watched and told me I aced it. I thought he was joking until I couldn;t find my ball on the green. I was pretty stoked. I did get my name in the paper though, and I saved that golf ball. A good old Maxfli 100.
