The results are in! The winners of Big League Stew’s Plays of the Year poll are …

Big League Stew

During the three previous weeks, we let readers choose the best plays of the year in six different categories — and now we're ready to announce the winners.

We can't say there are too many surprises here — you loved Big Papi's bat, Jose Iglesias' glove and Prince Fielder's nacho-thieving skills, among other things.

Without any further ado, here are the winners:

1. Best outfield play: Ben Revere's flying catch
Voting was spread out, because each finalist was a great grab, but ultimately people loved Revere's catch, which they remembered from all the way back in April. [Full list of nominees]

2. Best infield play: Jose Iglesias' ALCS catch
This was the tightest race with Iglesias barely beating Manny Machado. But Iglesias dominated the category overall, as his other entry also fared well. [Full list of nominees]

3. Biggest hit: David Ortiz's ALCS grand slam
This was a no-brainer. It was like Clayton Kershaw winning the Cy Young. No question. Ortiz gave us one of the most crucial hits of 2013 in a moment that defined the Red Sox's World Series run. [Full list of nominees]

4. Best fan catch: Great-grandma and tumbling Royals fan (tie)
Not a lot of voting in his category, regrettably, so we have to award a tie to these two worthwhile candidates. [Full list of nominees]

5. Wackiest moment: Prince Fielder swipes a fan's nacho
People liked the National Anthem stand-off, but they liked Prince Fielder getting the munchies mid-inning a little bit more. Can you blame them? Nachos are delicious. [Full list of nominees]

6. Best postseason play: David Ortiz's grand slam
The walk-off obstruction call was a close second, but Ortiz's big blast wins its second award in our poll. Can't blame anybody for handing Big Papi two more awards this season. Torii Hunter and his effort to catch the ball also are honored here. [Full list of nominees]

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Plays of the Year polling.
