After one game as England manager, Sam Allardyce has a 100 percent record and that’s how it will remain. On Tuesday the English FA confirmed that Allardyce, 61, was out as England’s manager after just 67 days in charge. Allardyce was at the center of a sensational undercover investigation by The Telegraph which was released on Monday and showed Allardyce talking with businessmen (who were actually reporters filming him secretly) about how to circumvent transfer rules.
After a desperately disappointing Premier League campaign that resulted in a below-par mid-table finish, Chelsea were looking to bounce back in this campaign. Chelsea have a billionaire owner, a recent history of success and a terrific manager, but they do not have a world-class team anymore.
