Michael Landsberg from TSN poured gasoline on the fire. It's hard to believe that the TSN audience, which essentially is the ESPN of Canada, really wants to hear all the machinations of the UFC's war with the blogosphere but White took the bait and Landsberg wasted his casual sports fan audience's time.
Landsberg rolled right into a discussion about White's vlog but instead of discussing the offensive language aspects of the piece, they discussed the credentialing policies of the UFC:
"None of the MMA sites have been (welcome at UFC events) for years, cause I don't want them there," said White. "Just because you own a website doesn't mean you're a real reporter."
That's a big blanket White is throwing over the entire MMA blogosphere:
"We credential all the real media. Guys that are real media, they're credentialed. (There are) guys that rip us but at least they're professional and they do it the right way."

White also discusses the issue of managers not being allowed freely in the locker rooms. Landsberg brings up the concern that deals could be closed in the dressing room without managers being present to represent their fighters. White said fights are offered but no deal is ever closed nor are any contracts signed without fighters being able to consult their manager.

Dana NUTSACK "White doesnt want anyone who says bad things about him ,hes like a 2 year old who cant take the heat. FK HIM .I would like to see one story thats got his boys lips locked on his backside that writes say bad stuff.
Sure as crap is Cofield ,that boys lips are on so tight TNT couldnt blast him off !
Any way when some of these writters grow some and start telling the truth about Dana "NUTSACK "White ,Old Nutsack will kick them out and wont have anyone reporting ....well except those who are lip locked on his backside.
Writters should unite then see how Nutsack responds.

Who wants ever body singing the same song anyway Ross? The difference of opinion is what makes this thing called a blog work!

I don't quite seem the point of doing that. We are going to believe what we want to anyway. Then again, it is refreshing to see a blogger mixing it up with the readers.
Still love Dana White.

Since TUF particularly, more and more websites and blogs have been hopping on the bandwagon. Some because they love the sport, others because they love the ad revenue they can potentially generate when they spam the hell out of your screen with various pop ups.
Dave Meltzer's been covering MMA events longer then Sherdog has through his Wrestling Observer newsletter. But I bet he didn't get credentialed until he became freelance and starting writing for Yahoo, the LA Times and other legit outlets. Plus as far as I'm aware Meltzer has always worked with a certain degree of professionalism. The same can't be said for the other MMA journalists and sites out there, whether it be Sherdog, MMA Weekly or whoever.
One of the few MMA only dedicated sites that can get credentialed is Fighters Only, who have an actual in print publication and started the first industry awards. Dana loves those guys because they've always acted professionally and gone through the right channels.
I think sites like Sherdog and MMA Weekly were important at a time where the sport couldn't get coverage, or shown on TV or PPV. But times have changed and they've served their purpose.

Just because someone isn't from Fox or the Washington Post or something doesn't mean that they can't be a journalist.
Hell, I can think of some famous journalists who probably weren't 'credentialed' by his standards. Plenty of news publications get their start in amateur type deals, and some become pretty famous. Hemingway, anyone? Upton Sinclair? Both did some very real journalism.
Dana needs to get off his sack and get a clue. Small media is hostile to him because he is hostile to it.

Though i give Mag's some credit for linking the video, don't you wonder why she never explained the feud between UFC and Sherdog? She also bandwagoned the 'as a woman i no longer feel safe' crap which i am sure someone read and took seriously and not as a pile of sensationalism. Print media in all it's dying forms circled the herd and hoped for safety in numbers.
