Player Notes
Jason Kipnis was ejected from Thursday's game against the Tigers after a third-inning swinging strikeout.

Advice: Kipnis was angry about a low-in-the-zone called strike earlier in the at-bat. He fanned with the bases loaded and also grounded into a doubleplay in the first inning. Mike Aviles came on to play second base. It was the first ejection of Kipnis' major league career.

Jason Kipnis launched his first homer of the season Wednesday, a two-run shot in a win over the Padres.

Advice: Kipnis' drive to right-center field off of Eric Stults in the sixth inning just cleared the wall and was all the runs the Indians needed to take the first game of the doubleheader. The second baseman now has six RBI in his first nine contests.
