Player Notes
Travis d’Arnaud (finger) caught five innings Tuesday in an extended spring training game.

Advice: D'Arnaud, out since April 20 with a fractured right pinkie finger, also went 1-for-3 with a run scored and reached on a catcher's interference. The hope is that he'll be ready to join Triple-A Las Vegas for an official rehab assignment within the next few days. This would put him on pace to join the Mets at some point next week.

Travis d'Arnaud (finger) could be activated from the disabled list as soon as June 1.

Advice: That's a best-case scenario, while Mets general manager Sandy Alderson thinks the June 4-7 series versus the Diamondbacks might be a more realistic target. D'Arnaud will play five innings in an extended spring training game on Tuesday before then beginning a rehab assignment at High-A St. Lucie. He's been sidelined since April 20 with a fracture of his right little finger.

Travis d'Arnaud (finger) is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment next week.

Advice: He and rehabbing teammmate David Wright each began taking batting practice at the team's spring training facility in Port St. Lucie on Friday. He isn't expected to require a long rehab stint, so as long as everything goes as planned there's a chance he could rejoin the Mets before the end of the month.

Travis d'Arnaud (finger) resumed swinging Monday.

Advice: The catcher has been doing other baseball activities for more than a week. Mets manager Terry Collins told reporters that d'Arnaud will be activated once he's able to play a full nine-inning game (hitting and catching included). That could feasibly happen by the end of May.
