Player Notes
Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said that Danny Espinosa will play for Mexico in the World Baseball Classic.

Advice: Whether Espinosa is actually with the Nationals come the spring is another question entirely. Rizzo floated in early November that the 29-year-old shortstop is a potential trade candidate. While there hasn't been a ton of smoke on the actual trading front as of yet, a move here remains possible. In 516 at-bats last season, Espinosa hit just .209/.306/.378. He did clock a career-best 24 homers in that space, so it wasn't all awful.
