Player Notes
Aaron Hicks went 3-for-4 with a homer and a walk from the two hole Thursday against the Mariners.

Advice: The Twins never would have asked for this much from Hicks, but they're getting it. He's had multiple hits in five straight games, raising his average from .259 to .299. If the Twins keeps batting him second, he might even offer some mixed-league value down the stretch.

Aaron Hicks went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Pirates.

Advice: Rather than one big hit, Hicks drove in runs in three different innings in the loss. That included an RBI triple in the sixth inning. Since being activated from the disabled list on July 3, Hicks is hitting .323 (21-for-65) with three homers, 14 RBI and 12 runs scored. Still just 25, Hicks may finally be delivering on some of the promise he showed as a prospect.
