Player Notes
Mike Trout went 4-for-4, finishing a home run shy of the cycle in Sunday's loss to the Indians.

Advice: Trout came to the plate in the eighth inning needing a home run to complete the cycle, but settled for an RBI single which cut the Angels' deficit to 8-2. The outfielder came into the game with a .627 OPS in August, but he insisted on Saturday that his lingering wrist issue wasn't an impediment. The MVP candidate boasts a .298/.397/.581 triple-slash line with 33 home runs, 74 RBI, 81 runs scored, and 10 stolen bases.

Mike Trout went 3-for-4 with an RBI triple in Sunday's loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Trout tried his darnedest to keep the Angels afloat, hitting an RBI triple in the first off Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey and finishing with three hits, but the team simply didn't have the proper offensive firepower. Trout doing a bunch of cool stuff in losses has morphed into a sad theme for the 63-61 Angels. The reigning AL MVP is hitting .297/.394/.586 with 33 home runs, 73 RBI and 10 steals this season.
