Player Notes
Mike Trout (wrist) will undergo an MRI Tuesday.

Advice: Trout tweaked his left wrist during Sunday's game. The Angels don't seem worried at this point and think he's probably just day-to-day, but they wanted to send him for an MRI just to be safe. More should be available on his status later Tuesday.

Mike Trout is not in the Angels' lineup Tuesday.

Advice: Trout tweaked his left wrist Sunday afternoon on a diving catch, though he also went 4-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in that same game. It's obviously not a serious issue. Daniel Robertson will start in center field Tuesday night against the Astros.

Mike Trout went off against the Rangers in Sunday's 13-7 win, hitting a pair of home runs including a grand slam and finishing 4-for-4 with five RBI and three runs scored.

Advice: Trout crushed a solo homer in the first inning off of Rangers starter Nick Martinez. This was just a sign of things to come, as five innings later, the MVP stepped to the plate with the bases juiced and unloaded on a Spencer Patton offering to give the Angels an 8-2 lead. Trout's now launched 31 homers and the five RBI gave him 64 driven in for the season. He's hitting .315/.405/.632 and just seems to keep improving. At 23 years old, it's scary to think of the kinds of numbers he could theoretically post in the future.

Mike Trout went 2-for-3 with a homer, two RBI and a walk against the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: That's because he's Mike Trout and he often has games like this. He's up to 29 homers for the season, leaving him just seven shy of last year's total.

Mike Trout (heel) returned to the Angels' lineup Wednesday.

Advice: Trout missed Tuesday's game with a sore left heel, but fortunately for everyone it doesn't appear it will be a huge hindrance. Trout is batting third and will serve as the team's designated hitter for Wednesday's contest against the Twins.

Mike Trout is not in the Angels' lineup Tuesday.

Advice: He's dealing with some minor left heel soreness, but he's sitting out mainly because he played both ends of Monday's doubleheader (although he was the designated hitter in one game). Trout expects to play on Wednesday. Daniel Robertson is handling center field Tuesday.

Mike Trout went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run as the Angels beat the Red Sox in game two of Monday's doubleheader.

Advice: Trout kept pace with teammate Albert Pujols for the league lead in home runs when he hit a solo shot in the fifth inning. Pujols, who had homered in the second, broke the tie with a seventh inning home run. Trout has 28 home runs with 57 RBI and an MVP-esque .307/.400/.614 batting line. He's homered eight times in July and he still has 10 days left to add on.

Mike Trout homered in the bottom of the ninth to give the Angels a 1-0 win over the Red Sox on Friday.

Advice: Koji Uehara snuck one fastball by Trout to open the at-bat. Why he risked trying another one is anybody's guess. Trout crushed it to left-center for his 27th homer of the year. It's his third career walkoff, the other two coming against the Rays and Astros last year.
