Player Notes
Mike Trout went 3-for-4 with a homer, a triple and three RBI against the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: The Angels had six hits in the loss, all of them coming from Kole Calhoun and Trout. At least they were hitting back-to-back, so the Angels did manage three rubs. It wasn't enough, though. Trout now has 32 homers in 99 games, leaving him just four shy of last year's career high.

Mike Trout (wrist) is back in Thursday's lineup against the Astros.

Advice: Trout missed the previous two games due to inflammation in his left wrist, but the hope is that it won't be a lingering issue. He's back in center field Thursday with the Angels trying to avoid a sweep.

Mike Trout (wrist) is out of the Angels' starting lineup again on Wednesday night.

Advice: Trout injured his wrist on a diving catch attempt Monday. An MRI taken Tuesday showed only inflammation and the star center fielder is fully expected to avoid the 15-day disabled list. David DeJesus is starting in center field Wednesday in his Angels debut.

An MRI on Mike Trout's left wrist showed only mild inflammation.

Advice: The Angels weren't worried about Trout's wrist, but this gives them and fantasy owners peace of mind. Manager Mike Scioscia said that Trout could return to the lineup as soon as Wednesday.

Mike Trout (wrist) will undergo an MRI Tuesday.

Advice: Trout tweaked his left wrist during Sunday's game. The Angels don't seem worried at this point and think he's probably just day-to-day, but they wanted to send him for an MRI just to be safe. More should be available on his status later Tuesday.

Mike Trout is not in the Angels' lineup Tuesday.

Advice: Trout tweaked his left wrist Sunday afternoon on a diving catch, though he also went 4-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in that same game. It's obviously not a serious issue. Daniel Robertson will start in center field Tuesday night against the Astros.

Mike Trout went off against the Rangers in Sunday's 13-7 win, hitting a pair of home runs including a grand slam and finishing 4-for-4 with five RBI and three runs scored.

Advice: Trout crushed a solo homer in the first inning off of Rangers starter Nick Martinez. This was just a sign of things to come, as five innings later, the MVP stepped to the plate with the bases juiced and unloaded on a Spencer Patton offering to give the Angels an 8-2 lead. Trout's now launched 31 homers and the five RBI gave him 64 driven in for the season. He's hitting .315/.405/.632 and just seems to keep improving. At 23 years old, it's scary to think of the kinds of numbers he could theoretically post in the future.

Mike Trout went 2-for-3 with a homer, two RBI and a walk against the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: That's because he's Mike Trout and he often has games like this. He's up to 29 homers for the season, leaving him just seven shy of last year's total.

Mike Trout (heel) returned to the Angels' lineup Wednesday.

Advice: Trout missed Tuesday's game with a sore left heel, but fortunately for everyone it doesn't appear it will be a huge hindrance. Trout is batting third and will serve as the team's designated hitter for Wednesday's contest against the Twins.
