Player Notes
X-rays on Mike Trout's left shoulder came back negative.

Advice: Trout exited Wednesday's game against the A's after being hit in the shoulder blade by a pitch, but he's expected to be fine. The hope is that he'll be ready to go on Friday versus the Astros.

Angels manager Mike Scioscia said he expects Mike Trout (shoulder) to play in Friday's series opener against the Astros.

Advice: Trout left Wednesday night's series finale with the Athletics after taking a John Axford fastball off his left shoulder blade in the bottom of the eighth inning. He was in visible pain as he made his way into the dugout with a trainer, but the star center fielder escaped with nothing more than a bad bruise. Trout was 1-for-4 with a run scored Wednesday before departing. He's batting .318/.441/.556 in 156 games this season.

Mike Trout was pulled from Wednesday's game against the A's after taking a pitch off his left shoulder.

Advice: Trout was struck on the left shoulder blade by a 96-mph John Axford fastball in the bottom of the eighth inning and looked to be in a good deal of pain as he walked off with a trainer. There should be an update from Anaheim within the hour. Trout was 1-for-4 with a run scored before exiting.

Mike Trout went 2-for-2 with a homer and two walks as the Angels edged the A's 2-1 on Monday.

Advice: Trout has never finished a season with a 1.000 OPS, but he has a chance this year; tonight put him back up to 1.001. He's also one homer away from 30 and two RBI away from 100.

Mon, Sep 26 Rotoworld
Mike Trout went 2-for-3 with two RBI and scored three times in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: He also walked twice. He only made one out and was on the bases the whole game. The Angels trailed all night until breaking out for four runs in the eighth and five runs in the ninth. Trout had run-scoring hits in both of those frames. The superstar is batting .318/.440/.557 with 28 bombs, 97 RBI and leads the majors with 120 runs scored. Tack on 27 stolen bases to complete the package.

Sat, Sep 24 Rotoworld
Mike Trout hit a three-run homer off Derek Holland and walked Wednesday as the Angels edged the Rangers 5-4.

Advice: Who said Trout isn't making a difference in meaningful games in September? He's hit .306 with three homers, 11 RBI and 14 walks in 19 games this month. All but two of those games have come against teams in the mix for a spot in the postseason.
