Player Notes
Mike Trout clubbed a solo homer in Friday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: It was all the offense Garrett Richards would need on this night. Trout has gone deep in back-to-back games and is now up to 22 home runs and 69 RBI on the year to go along with a fantastic .310/.399/.607 batting line. His 1.007 OPS is tops in the American League.

Mike Trout went 4-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, and three runs scored as the Angels routed the Rangers on Thursday.

Advice: Trout singled in a run in the second, then blasted a three-run home run in the third inning. Shortly into the season's fourth month, Trout has been making a strong case to win his first career AL MVP award. The 22-year-old has 21 home runs, 68 RBI, 10 stolen bases, and a .310/.401/.602 slash line.

Mike Trout hit a walkoff homer off Tony Sipp in the bottom of the ninth Friday in the Angels' 7-6 win over the Astros.

Advice: Trout's 20th bomb of the year came off an 0-2 pitch from Sipp and it wasn't even a particularly bad one; Trout just went down and got it. While it doesn't appear at all likely that Trout will swipe 30 bases this year, he's on pace for what would be his best power season. He's two-thirds of the way to his career high for homers, and he's slugging .616, which is about 60 points higher than his career mark.
