Player Notes
Mike Trout walked and hit a three-run home run in five trips to the plate Monday, helping the Angels overcome the Rays.

Advice: Trout broke a 1-1 tie with his third-inning three-run blast off of Alex Colome. He's up to 13 home runs on the season along with 30 RBI, eight stolen bases, and a .294/.381/.552 batting line. Expect to see him in the MVP award conversation once again at the end of the season.

Mike Trout went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Disappointing end to a series that started out promisingly enough for the Angels, who romped into Fenway with a 12-5 win on Friday before scoring just four runs combined in the next two games. Trout managed an RBI double off Wade Miley to draw the Angels to within 3-1 in the sixth inning on Sunday, but the team wouldn't score again and the Red Sox would tack on another three runs, anyway. Trout is hitting like Mike Trout and currently sports a .301/.392/.552 slash with 11 homers, 25 RBI, 34 runs scored and eight steals.
