Player Notes
Mike Trout went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run, but the Angels dropped Wednesday's contest to the Yankees.

Advice: The Angels were being shutout when Trout went to the opposite field for a solo home run in the eighth inning off of Justin Wilson. Trout is having another typically excellent season, batting .303/.393/.590 with 21 home runs, 44 RBI, 57 runs scored, and nine stolen bases.

Mike Trout did it all to help the Angels beat the Yankees on Monday, homering, stealing a base, and playing stellar defense.

Advice: Trout broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the third inning with a solo home run off of CC Sabathia. He also stole his first base since May 22, though it didn't lead to a run. On the defensive side of things, he made a handful of terrific catches in support of starter C.J. Wilson. Trout, likely to start in center field for the AL All-Star team, is batting .300/.390/.583 with 20 home runs, 43 RBI, and nine stolen bases.

Mike Trout went 3-for-4 with a solo homer Friday against the Mariners.

Advice: The two guys hitting ahead of Trout in the order went 0-for-8, so he never did hit with a man on base. He's up to 19 homers now, but he has just 42 RBI, all because the Angels aren't getting many hitters on base for him (he's actually hitting .381 in 42 at-bats with RISP).
