Miguel Sano is not in the Twins' starting lineup on Thursday afternoon against the White Sox.

Advice: Sano has been bothered by a mild right hamstring strain for a week, but the injury isn't slowing him down at all. He'll sit Thursday mostly for routine rest. Joe Mauer is at designated hitter against the Pale Hose.

Miguel Sano hit his 15th homer Wednesday off the White Sox's Carlos Rodon.

Advice: 10 of those homers have come in his last 19 games. That's pretty amazing, but still not as amazing as the fact that he's hitting .296 despite striking out 77 times in 51 games.

Miguel Sano (hamstring) is in the Twins' starting lineup on Wednesday night against the White Sox.

Advice: Sano has been nursing a mild right hamstring strain since last Thursday, but the young designated hitter has simply been taking it easy on the bases and will continue to do so as the Twins try to maintain a good spot in the American League Wild Card race. Sano hit his 14th home run on Tuesday night and he boasts a 1.011 OPS with 41 RBI through his first 50 major league games.

Miguel Sano went 3-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored Tuesday against the White Sox.

Advice: It was Sano's solo homer in the bottom of the seventh inning that tied the game and eventually allowed the Twins to come back and secure the win. The homer was his 14th through 50 games this year. He strikes out a lot, too, which was expected, but the Twins will take the whiffs when they come with a .295/.403/.608 line. At just 22 years old, Sano should continue to be a special player for years to come.
