Player Notes
Chris Carter is not in the Astros starting lineup for Saturday's matchup against the Red Sox.

Advice: He'll take a seat in favor of Jonathan Singleton, who has seen his playing time increase in recent days. The 28-year-old Carter is hitting just .197/.311/.405 on the season with 15 homers, 40 RBI and a league-leading 107 strikeouts in 269 at-bats.

Chris Carter swatted his 14th home run of the season in a 1-for-4 effort as the Astros downed the Royals 6-1 on Monday.

Advice: Carter added some superfluous offense with a solo shot off of Brandon Finnegan in the fifth inning for what turned out to be the Astros' final run. The slugger is hitting .198/.315/.405 with 14 home runs and 38 RBI in 76 games. It's worth noting that, through 76 games last season, he had a .189/.269/.421 batting line with 15 home runs and 35 RBI. He finished the year at .227/.308/.491 with 37 home runs and 88 RBI, so a summer surge may yet await him.

Mon, Jun 29 Rotoworld
Chris Carter went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in a loss to the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Carter connected off Masahiro Tanaka for a solo homer in the fourth inning. He also added an RBI double and scored a run in the second inning. Carter is up to 13 home runs and 37 RBI after a slow start to the year.
