Player Notes
Anthony Rizzo hit two home runs Wednesday in the Cubs' defeat of the visiting Mets.

Advice: Rizzo got to Bartolo Colon twice, smashing a solo shot in the bottom of the third inning and a two-run bomb in the bottom of the fifth. It was part of a six-run barrage against the Mets' veteran starter. Rizzo has a stellar .999 OPS with 24 home runs and 71 RBI in 91 games this season for the first-place Cubbies.

Anthony Rizzo launched a three-run homer in Monday's victory over the Mets.

Advice: Rizzo got the scoring going in the third inning when he powered a Steven Matz offering well into the right field bleachers. Seven of the first baseman's 22 home runs this season have come against left-handed pitching. He's tied for fourth in the National League with his 22 dingers and is second with 68 RBI.
