Player Notes
Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk, and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Brewers.

Advice: Rizzo has now gone deep in each of the last three games. The 25-year-old had just one home run in 31 games prior to this recent power surge.

Fri, Jul 31 Rotoworld
Anthony Rizzo went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and a double as the Cubs beat the Brewers 5-2 on Thursday.

Advice: The Brewers were up 2-0 when Rizzo delivered his big blow in the eighth. The Cubs then added two runs in the ninth as insurance. Rizzo has homered in back-to-back games, so maybe his lengthy slump is coming to an end. He had just one homer in five weeks prior to yesterday.

Thu, Jul 30 Rotoworld
Anthony Rizzo cranked a two-run homer in the Cubs' win over the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: It was his first home run since July 7. Rizzo has been in an offensive rut, but he still owns a shiny .279/.393/.500 batting line on the season. And he's now up to 17 home runs and 53 RBI in 99 games.

Wed, Jul 29 Rotoworld
Anthony Rizzo went 0-for-4 in Wednesday afternoon's loss to the Reds.

Advice: Rizzo was far from the only Cub to struggle in the contest, as the team compiled just five total hits. He had a chance to do a little cosmetic damage in the ninth inning, when he stepped to the plate with two runners on and his team down 9-1, but he flew out. These things happen. Rizzo's hitting .285/.400/.510 with 16 homers and 51 RBI this season. He's recorded just three hits in 25 at-bats coming out of the break, but we're confident in saying that the current slump will likely come to an end soon enough.
