Player Notes
David Hernandez will head into spring training as the favorite for the closer's role in Philadelphia.

Advice: Used as a starter early in his career, Hernandez has settled in as a reliable late-inning relief option. Though he's mostly been limited to setup duty, Hernandez did log 11 saves with the Diamondbacks in 2011 while filling in for J.J. Putz. Andrew Bailey, Ernesto Frieri and Edward Mujica all have closing experience so Hernandez should face plenty of competition this spring.
