Player Notes
Jeremy Hellickson improved his trade stock by holding the Marlins to one hit over six shutout frames in Monday's 4-0 victory.

Advice: Hellickson recorded just one strikeout, but he also permitted only one hit and one walk. He had thrown just 70 pitches through six innings, but the Phillies elected to pinch-hit for him in the top of the seventh when they had a scoring opportunity. Hellickson will go into the trade deadline having yielded just one run over 14 frames. If he's not dealt by then, he'll get the Braves this weekend.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Marlins are interested in a potential trade for Jeremy Hellickson.

Advice: Nothing imminent here. Rosenthal's report backs a Monday update from MLB.com's Joe Frisaro who likewise relayed that the Marlins were intrigued by Hellickson. President of baseball operations Michael Hill got a personal taste of his work in Philadelphia on Wednesday, as he was in town to watch the hurler toss eight inning of one-run ball against his squad. Hellickson struck out eight in the contest. He holds a 3.84 ERA over 119 2/3 innings. FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that the Orioles are also interested in the 29-year-old right-hander.

Jeremy Hellickson struck out eight batters and held the Marlins to one run in eight innings to lead the Phillies to a 4-1 win on Wednesday.

Advice: He yielded five hits and no walks, with the only damage being a solo homer by Chris Johnson. The win lifts his record to 7-7 with a 3.84 ERA in 119 2/3 innings. After three poor seasons he has bounced back to fantasy relevancy this year.

Jeremy Hellickson is on the Marlins' radar, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro.

Advice: The Marlins will get to see Hellickson up close when they face him Wednesday night at Citizen's Bank Park. Hellickson has piqued the interest of several teams including the Red Sox, though Boston's interest has likely waned after acquiring Drew Pomeranz from the Padres last week. The pitching-needy Marlins have also checked in on A's lefty Rich Hill.
