Player Notes
Brett Gardner is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Red Sox.

Advice: Gardner is taking a seat against the left-hander Jon Lester. Ichiro Suzuki will make the start in left field Tuesday while Alfonso Soriano starts in right and Carlos Beltran serves as the DH.

Brett Gardner went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored against the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: Gardner hit an RBI double in the fourth inning to get the Yankees on the board, and his run scored in the 12th inning ended up being the game-winning run. The run scored was his seventh of the year after scoring 81 runs in 2013.
