Player Notes
Tim Lincecum bounced back against the Dodgers on Tuesday, spinning five innings of one-run ball in a no-decision.

Advice: The right-hander whiffed five, walked none, and scattered five hits. Well, mostly scattered. Lincecum was one pitch away from escaping the second inning and ostensibly throwing five shutout frames, but a full-count offering to Juan Uribe ended up a souvenir to a lucky fan in the left field bleachers. Lincecum, who slashed his ERA from 9.90 to 7.20 this evening, leads the Giants into San Diego on Sunday.

Tim Lincecum was punted around in a loss to Arizona on Wednesday, allowing seven runs on seven hits over four innings.

Advice: Lincecum struck out five and allowed one walk and a pair of homers before hitting the showers early. The Snakes also saw Lincecum on Thursday (four runs on eight hits over six frames), and they had no problem squaring him up six days later. Lincecum will be ecstatic to get a new opponent, but that 9.90 ERA will require some time to sand down. He toes the rubber in San Francisco against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
