Escobar went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Monday as the Blue Jays defeated the Rays, 6-2.
Recommendation: Escobar has been on a tear of late, going 8-for-20 with five runs scored over his last five games. He doesn't have a lot of power as he only has two home runs this season, but he can certainly help his fantasy value if he can continue to hit for average.

SS Yunel Escobar was left out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees. INF Omar Vizquel started at shortstop for the second time this season in Wednesday's 8-1 win over the Yankees. Manager John Farrell said he wanted to get as many left-handed bats in the lineup as he could against RHP Hiroki Kuroda. LF Eric Thames batted second where Escobar usually hits in the lineup. Vizquel batted ninth and was 0-for-3 with a walk.
