Player Notes
Jacoby Ellsbury is not in the Yankees starting lineup for Sunday night's contest against the Mets.

Advice: Ellsbury tested out his hip during pregame workouts but was deemed unable to go. Chris Young will once again start in center field in his place and is batting second on Sunday. Ellsbury is expected to return to the lineup on Monday.

Jacoby Ellsbury left Saturday's game with hip tightness.

Advice: He went 0-for-3 before exiting in the eighth inning. The Yankees are hopeful Ellsbury won't miss any time, but if he does sit out Sunday, expect Chris Young to fill in at center field.

Jacoby Ellsbury hit his first home run of the season in Friday's win over the Mets, finishing the game 2-for-5.

Advice: Ellsbury smacked the solo home run off of Jacob deGrom in the third inning. It doubled his RBI total. He now has two driven in on the year. Math. Ellsbury has been hitting for average in the early going, but the power's been difficult to come by. Fantasy owners should be happy to see him finally get on the board. He hit 16 bombs with the Yankees in 2014 and while he's probably never going to match the career-best 32 he launched in 2011, a home run total between 13-17 is still well within reach for the speedy centerfielder.

Jacoby Ellsbury went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, and a stolen base while scoring both Yankee runs in a victory over the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Ellsbury walked, stole second base, advanced to third on a ground out, and scored on a balk in the sixth inning to tie the game at one apiece. In the eighth, he doubled, advanced to third base on a sacrifice bunt, and scored on a Brian McCann ground out. Ellsbury has been an on-base machine in the season's first month, as evidenced by his .286/.384/.317 triple-slash line. He's a modest 4-for-7 in the stolen base department, however.
