Player Notes
Howie Kendrick homered twice and drove home four runs, leading the Angels to an 11-6 win over the Tigers on Friday.

Advice: Serving as the team's DH and hitting in the cleanup spot seemed to come naturally to Kendrick. He tagged starter Drew Smyly with an opposite field two-run shot in the third inning, then blasted another off Luke Putkonen the following inning. He finished the night 3-for-5 and is now hitting .261/.320/.391 on the season.
