Sanchez had one of his worst outings of the season Thursday, surrendering five runs and seven hits over just 5.1 innings. He walked a pair and struck out seven.
Recommendation: Sanchez was cruising early, giving up just one run with six strikeouts through the first five innings. Sanchez fell apart in the sixth frame, however, as he allowed two extra-base hits and uncorked a couple of wild pitches. A botched run down at third base didn't help his cause either. It was a rare shaky performance for Sanchez, who had recorded a quality start in each of his previous eight outings.

RHP Anibal Sanchez allowed five runs in 5 1/3 innings Friday, his shortest outing of the year. The Giants, who beat Miami 14-7, did most of their damage against Sanchez in the sixth inning, when he allowed four runs -- matching the total runs he'd allowed to San Francisco over his previous 31 innings against the Giants in his career. It was the first time in 17 starts dating back to Aug 10, 2011, that Sanchez allowed more than three runs in a game.
