INF/OF Chone Figgins, demoted from starting third baseman to utility man and pinch runner, was not a candidate to be taken off the roster when the club activated C Miguel Olivo, manager Eric Wedge said. "That wasn't an option for us, not right now," Wedge said. "He's now a utility player, and a super utility at that." Figgins has just four games (five at-bats) since his demotion and is hitless in his last 23 at-bats.
