Player Notes
Aaron Harang was fantastic again Wednesday, striking out 11 over six innings of one-run ball in a 3-1 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Harang had to settle for a no-decision, but he yielded just six hits and one walk to go along with his 11 punchouts. Remarkably, the right-hander is the first pitcher since Pedro Martinez in 1997 to start a season with five starts of at least six-plus innings and one or fewer runs allowed. He'll take a microscopic 0.85 ERA into a rematch with the Marlins next week.

Aaron Harang threw seven no-hit innings in a win over the Mets on Friday.

Advice: Harang was pulled after throwing 121 pitches. Six walks cost him a chance to finish off the no-hit bid. The Mets finally got a hit when David Wright singled off Luis Avilan with two outs in the bottom of the eighth. Some questioned the Braves' decision to release Freddy Garcia and sign Harang at the end of spring training, but things have worked out brilliantly for the Braves so far. Through four starts, the 35-year-old has a 0.70 ERA and 22/12 K/BB ratio over 25 2/3 innings. He'll try to keep his surprising resurgence alive next week against the Marlins at home.
