RHP Kyle Lohse was denied his sixth victory by a bullpen letdown. Lohse, over 5 1/3 innings, pitched around many of the Dodgers' 11 hits off him.

Recommendation: Lohse labored in his last start, but skipping side sessions is what pitchers sometimes do. Lohse and the Cardinals are not concerned, and you shouldn't be either.

Lohse did not get a decision Tuesday in a 7-6 win over the Cubs.
Advice: Lohse gave up five runs and nine hits over 6 2-3 innings. Lohse retired 14 in a row with the help of a double play in one stretch.
