Anderson hit his first career pinch-hit homer Thursday night, a two-run shot in a 5-2 win over the Phillies. Advice: Anderson got off to a slow start in his first season with the Braves, but the veteran outfielder is 17 for 44 (.386) with two homers, 10 RBIs and five runs scored over his last 12 games. |

LF Garret Anderson's double in the ninth inning of the June 27 game against the Red Sox was the 500th of his career. That places him fourth among active players in career doubles, after Ivan Rodriguez (533), Manny Ramirez (516) and Ken Griffey Jr. (513). |

Anderson went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Sunday's win over Atlanta. Recommendation: He's hit three of his four homers this season in the month of June, but Anderson's power may top him out right around 10 long balls this season after he averaged 16 over the last three seasons. Despite the lack of power, Anderson continues to man a spot in the middle third of the Atlanta lineup, so there should be plenty of RBI opportunities behind Chipper Jones and Brian McCann. |
